Imperial College's patent for multi-qubit optimal control solution for trapped-ions

Imperial College London filed a patent for their innovative approaches in optimal quantum control with scalable efficiency and a robust entangling gate scheme for trapped-ion quantum computers, overcoming challenges like motional heating and detuning errors. This video summarises two studies: one showcasing scalable quantum control solutions using operator-based techniques, enabling efficient state preparation for systems with up to 50 spins, and another unveiling a robust entangling gate for trapped-ion chains, achieving high-fidelity performance even in challenging conditions. Discover how these innovations bring us closer to scalable, fault-tolerant quantum systems!
